It had been a very busy week. Youth camp is around the corner and there were loads of work to do, especially for booklet and name card group. Every night for the whole week, I’ve been sticking in front of my laptop typing the booklet and making “international calls” to liaise on booklet printing matters. I’m not complaining here, it’s always been a pleasure to serve God.

Though, things can get a little out of hand sometimes. My newly developed devotion time was at stake and I don’t have time to do house chores. Anytime I could grab hold of, I used most of it in front of the laptop. Furthermore, I’m a slow worker and I get distracted very easily. I tend to open videos and surf net while I’m doing the booklet. God, forgive me.

However, praise God and thank God because He is the Gracious One. If it wasn’t for His grace I couldn’t have finished the booklet. In fact, I couldn’t, but He sent a brother kind enough to “pester” us, the committees, to give him work to do. Hence, I asked his help to get the booklets printed, which I could not possibly do since I work in Brunei.

Next, due to the busy schedule, I forgot to change BND for daily use in Brunei throughout the week. When I remembered, it was almost time to go to the night service. I thought of going to change money first and be late for the service since the shops would have closed after that. However, the Holy Spirit inside me reminded that service is the more important one. Then I uttered to God (a little rudely, just a little…… God, forgive me again) “ if You want me to go to service in time, give me BND.” However, I still obeyed God, and decided to have a try to make it to the shops after service. Then, I remembered my dad told me that my brother was looking for me. So, I knocked on his door. “Sis, aunt asked you to help her buy detergent in Brunei. She gave you BND100 and it’s on the shelf in the kitchen, but she only wants 2 bottles, so you can return the change to her after you come back” Wow, see how gracious God is, how GRACIOUS!!

The next morning, I left home late because of some issues I need to settle. It was already 6.30am, and I had to reach Brunei by 7.30am. With reference to previous experiences, this is not possible. I prayed to God, “Can you make me reach Brunei in time? …. Never mind, I’m the one who caused myself to be late. You don’t have to listen to my prayer, but please bless me that I shall reach Brunei safely” However, amazingly, today there weren’t many cars at the immigration, as usually they queue until outside the immigration centre. In the end, I reached Brunei around the time I usually arrive. Thank God and praise God again!!

For a short weekend, God has already shine his grace upon me in various accounts, eventhough I don’t deserve them and there are a lot more. To count God’s grace is like counting stars in the sky. Still, I shall always count the blessings from God, because this reminds me of how merciful He is, and how He loves me dearly.
